Atlanta, GA – The 2022 Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) season will kick off this weekend with the annual Commissioners Kickoff Classic. As the APDFL enters its’ 10th official year, the line-up this weekend is set to be full of excitement and hard-hitting football.

Let’s take a look at the predictions for this seasons Commissioners Kickoff Classic.

(8) Tuskegee Ayrmen (0-0) vs (10) East Alabama Predators (0-0)

In what could easily be a game of the week or rivalry match-up, the APDFL has provided the fans with an amazing contest to kick off the 2022 season. Both teams know each other really well and have faced off on several occasions. After a very impressive 2021 campaign, and an off-season that saw some impressive acquisitions, the Ayrmen enter the Commissioners Classic highly favored. Fan poll presently has them as the favorites 3-to-1. Predators, however, won’t go away easily. Coming off of what they consider to be a disappointing season, they will look to turn things around early. An upset victory would put them on the right path.
Tuskegee Ayrmen – 26
East Alabama Predators – 12

(2) Georgia Cobras (0-0) vs (3) Columbus Storm (0-0)
Wetumpka, AL

Set up to be an early contestant for game of the year, this is surely a game that you won’t want to miss. Both teams have had impressive pickups during the off-season with the most controversial being that of QB1, Marcus Brooks, making his way to the Storm after having a very productive season with the Cobras. Brooks will enter his first game as a member of the Storm with the intention of defeating his prior teammates. However, it doesn’t end there. The Storm utilized the off-season to fill needs at every position and have upgraded at most. Will it be enough? Cobras are exactly who you think they are! APDFL MVP, Dion Graham, will return to take over the helm in 2022. After leading the Cobras to the National Championship in 2019, a holdout led to him not seeing much playing time during the 2021 season. Both accurate and mobile, the Storm defense will have to prepare for a dual attack. This one will come down to which team has the most stamina and can maintain their composure deep into the 4th quarter.
Georgia Cobras – 17
Columbus Storm – 16

There you have it! The initial predictions for the 2022 season have arrived and there’s nothing left to do but play the games. Like I always say, don’t hate the predictions, SIMPLY PROVE THEM WRONG!
