With that said, let’s take a look at this weekends match-ups.

(12) East Alabama Predators (5-4) @ (2) Alabama Blackhawks (7-1)
Pinson, AL
7:00PM
Both teams are fighting for playoff position and will be looking for a victory this weekend. Blackhawks presently sit in the #2 seed but to remain there, will surely need a victory. On the other hand, Predators continue to battle to keep their post-season hopes alive. With a win Predators can be considered to have clinched their post-season spot however, with a loss they will need assistance to make it into the post-season.
Alabama Blackhawks – 26
East Alabama Predators – 14

(5) Columbus Storm (7-1) @ (6) Tuskegee Ayrmen (7-2)
Tuskegee, AL
6:00PM
This one is set up to be a potential game of the year contest. Both teams are playing great football as they make their way into post-season and are fighting for position. Storm, presently #3 in the East will need a win to hold onto their present seeding. However, playing on the road is never easy and they will be entering this contest undermanned. Ayrmen sit only one game behind the Storm and are prepared to show that they are the team to chase. Playing at home this week should give them an added advantage.
Tuskegee Ayrmen – 17
Columbus Storm – 16

(17) Steel City Raptors (3-3-1) @ (25) Selma City Vikings (1-7)
Raptors continue to hold on to a slim chance of advancing to the post-season. To do so however, they will need to first defeat the Vikings in this weekends contest and seek a great deal of assistance. Vikings are looking to finish the season on a positive note. Although a post-season position may not be available, a win this weekend would do a great deal for their morality.
Steel City Raptors – 29
Selma City Vikings – 16

(15) Orlando Phantoms (4-4) @ (1) Unconquered Cobras (8-0)
Thomasville, GA
6:00PM
It’s always hard to defeat a team twice in the same season. This is the task the Cobras will face this weekend if they are to remain the only undefeated team in the APDFL. The last contest between these two was a hard fought match-up where the Cobras were able to walk away victorious in the season opener. Phantoms will need to travel well and play mistake free football if they are to be victorious. Fighting for a post-season position, Phantoms also find themselves in a must win match-up as a loss will not officially eliminate them from the post season, but would required a great deal of assistance for them to advance.
Unconquered Cobras – 32
Orlando Phantoms – 18

(26) Alabama Tigers (0-7) @ (18) Louisiana Lightning (3-6)
New Orleans, LA
7:00PM
Lightning enter this weekend with a very slim chance of advancing to the post-season. To do so, they will need to first win this weekend and will need to get a great deal of assistance from others. Tigers will be making the trip to New Orleans for the sake of pride and looking to ensure they can get their first win on the season. Both teams have been competing throughout the course of the season with limited numbers. Making the trip to New Orleans won’t make it any easier for the Tigers.
Louisiana Lightning – 20
Alabama Tigers – 12

(16) Hub City Hellcats (3-5) @ (14) West Mobile 49ers (4-3)
Mobile, AL
7:00PM
A must win for the Hellcats if they plan to keep their post-season hopes alive. Mathematically, they still have a chance and to obtain that position they will need to seek to eliminate the 49ers. Having played one less game when the dust has settled, 49ers must ensure that they are victorious in their final two games. A win over the Hellcats this weekend would eliminate the Hellcats from the post-season play. Playing at home should provide the 49ers with the added benefit they need.
West Mobile 49ers – 32
Hub City Hellcats – 20

(7) Panhandle Crusaders (7-2) @ (4) Mississippi Dynasty (6-2)
Pearl, MS
6:30PM
Easily what many would consider this weekends game of the week. Both teams have secured their right to compete in the post-season and are competing for the right to host a first round contest. Two of the Western Conferences top teams face-off this weekend with the winner all but assured the right to host. For Crusaders to be victorious they will need to come into this contest healthy, full of steam, and play mistake free football. Playing on their own home turf, Dynasty will be expected to be at full throttle. They should have a slight advantage.
Mississippi Dynasty – 18
Panhandle Crusaders – 16

(24) Greater Pensacola Jets (2-7) @ (21) Crescent City Rampage (2-6)
New Orleans, LA
7:00PM
Jets and Rampage both come into this contest with nothing to lose. Both are looking to slide into the off-season with yet another victory under their belt. Playing at home, Rampage should have the upper hand and should be ready to obtain another victory. However, they will have to be able to stop the Jets running attack. Making the trip to New Orleans with post-season play out of the picture, Rampage should be able to pull this one out.
Crescent City Rampage – 12
Greater Pensacola Jets – 9

(13) Crescent City Kings (4-3) @ (1) Pike County Titans (5-3)
McComb, MS
5:00PM
Kings need to obtain a win to solidify their place in the post-season. While the Titans continue to fight for post-season position. With a victory, Kings will solidify a spot in the post-season while a loss and a Hellcats win, could be detrimental. Titans have the ability to not only improve on their post-season position, but with two straight wins, have the ability to dictate who does and doesn’t make it into post-season play.
Pike County Titans – 20
Crescent City Kings – 18

(22) Tri-City Savages (2-7) @ (3) Bayou Louisiana Cardinals (8-1)
Franklinton, LA
7:00PM
Cardinals have the chance to solidify the top seed in the west this weekend. With a victory over the Savages they become the #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the post-season. After being rewarded with an L a week ago due to the use of an illegal player, Savages will be looking to complete their season on a positive note. However, it won’t come easy.
Bayou Louisiana Cardinals – 36
Tri-City Savages – 0

GAME OF THE WEEK!!
(8) Gulf Coast Gators (6-2) @ (11) Metro Atlanta Horsemen (5-3-1)

Austell, GA
6:00PM
This is sure to be a good one! With a great deal of post-season standings on the line, this should come down to how well the Gators travel. Sitting at #3 in the West, with a win the Gators would all but guarantee a first round home game during the post-season and could possibly lock up the #2 seed with a Crusaders loss. Horsemen are still fighting for the right to compete in the post-season. With a victory they will solidify their post-season position however, a defeat would lead to their outcome in next weekends match-up.
Gulf Coast Gators – 26
Metro Atlanta Horsemen – 20

There you have it! The predictions are in and the only thing left to do is to play the games. Like I always say, don’t hate the predictions SIMPLY PROVE THEM WRONG!!
