Fan Appreciation Week Predictions

Jacksonville, FL – One of the most important weeks of the season is upon us. It’s Fan Appreciation week! Organizations across the league this week take time to show their gratitude to their fans, friends, and family members. Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) would like to send a huge thank you to all of those who allow their loved ones the opportunity to take part in this great league. Without you and your sacrifice, these young men wouldn’t have the chance to play the game they enjoy so much. We also would like to send our gratitude to the multitude of fans across the country that enjoy watching and cheering on your favorite APDFL organization.

With various games being canceled this weekend due to weather across the southeast, let’s take a look at this weekends match-ups.

(22) Steel City Raptors (0-3) @ (16) Atlanta Tigers (3-3)
Austell, GA
6:00pm
Raptors are much better than what their schedule would imply. With two games having been postponed, a win this weekend would be greatly welcomed. Tigers are coming off of a close double overtime defeat and will be looking to protect their home turf. Both teams are evenly matched and this contest is sure to be yet another tough one. With the Tigers playing at home, it’s sure to be advantage Tigers.
Atlanta Tigers – 17
Steel City Raptors – 16

(18) East Alabama Predators (2-3) @ (17) Garden City Seahawks (2-2)
Augusta, GA
5:00pm
Both teams are evenly matched and are still looking for their groove. Predators have yet to live up to their expectation and will be seeking to break the .500 barrier this weekend. For the Seahawks it’s simple. Control the emotions and the wins will take care of themselves. Playing at home the Seahawks should have the advantage however, they will need to ensure that they play disciplined football.
Garden City Seahawks – 20
East Alabama Predators – 16

(13) Metro Atlanta Horsemen (2-3) @ (26) Alabama Wolfpack (0-5)
Clanton, AL
6:00pm
Wolfpack are much better than their record would suggest. However, this weekend won’t be an easy contest. Looking for their first victory on the season, this could possibly be a must win situation for them as teams begin to fight for post season position. Playing on their home turf should provide and added advantage as they are expected to be at full throttle. Horsemen won’t be taking this game lightly as they themselves are seeking to reach the .500 mark. If they are to travel with a complete unit they should be able to walk away with the victory.
Metro Atlanta Horsemen – 32
Alabama Wolfpack – 8

(9) Columbus Storm (4-1) @ (15) Orlando Phantoms (2-2)
Altamonte Springs, FL
7:00pm
Storm and Phantoms are two evenly matched teams on paper. However, Phantoms have yet to prove that they have the ability to defend their home turf. Storm will be expected to travel at full throttle and therefore, the Phantoms will need to be ready to play at a high level. The Phantoms have all of the components to do just that. Concern is, so does the Storm and they just simply find a way to win on a weekly basis.
Columbus Storm – 17
Orlando Phantoms – 12

(12) West Mobile 49ers (3-0) @ (10) Gulf Coast Gators (2-2)
Pensacola, FL
5:00pm
49ers have been impressive thus far this season. This weekend however, they will face their toughest opponent to date. To date, the defense has been playing lock down football while the offense has been having their way. To pull out the victory they will still have to elevate their game. The Gators find themselves in an unexpected position this early in the season. Sitting at .500, they will be looking to pull out a victory as they get back on the winning track. They have the ability to defeat anyone lined up before them but they will need to prove this starting with this weekend.
Gulf Coast Gators – 28
West Mobile 49ers – 6

(28) Tri-City Savages (0-4) @ (21) Greater Pensacola Jets (1-4)
Pensacola, FL
3:00pm
Both teams are looking to walk away with a victory and fight their way into the post season. Both have spent much of the first half of the season short on numbers. Jets have dropped a few close match-ups and will look to pull out their second victory of the season. For the Savages to be victorious they will need to play mistake free football and keep the game close going into the 4th.
Greater Pensacola Jets – 12
Tri-City Savages – 8

(24) Crescent City Rampage (0-4) @ (11) Crescent City Kings (2-2)
New Orleans, LA
7:00pm
Rampage and Kings have a long history and know each other well. Kings come into this contest highly favored and will be looking to increase their position headed into the second half of the season. For the Rampage to pull off a victory this weekend they will need to play their best game of the season. To come up short in any aspect of the game will surely seal their defeat.
Crescent City Kings – 42
Crescent City Rampage – 12

(14) Louisiana Lightning (3-2) @ (2) Bayou Lacombe Cardinals (5-0)
Slidell, LA
7:00pm
This one is sure to be amazing!! Both teams have been in some great contests thus far this season. What separates them is the Cardinals have found a way to pull out a victory in each and everyone of their match-ups. Could this be the weekend that they come up short? To be victorious the Lightning will need to be hitting on all cylinders. The Cardinals are a complete team and if the game is close late in the 4th, they will surely find a way to pull out the victory. Lightning will need to play mistake free football and generate at least two turnovers if they are to pull off the upset.
Bayou Lacombe Cardinals – 19
Louisiana Lightning – 16

(25) Selma City Vikings (0-4) @ (1) Unconquered Cobras (4-0)
South Americus, GA
6:00pm
Cobras have been the most impressive team to date and this weekend won’t be any different. However, this week they won’t get the chance to display their high level of talent as it will be a victory by default. Unconquered Cobras – 6
Selma City Vikings – 0

(27) Alabama Tigers (0-3) @ (8) Pike County Titans (4-1)
Postponed

(20) Hub City Hellcats (2-3) @ (7) Mississippi Dynasty (3-2)
Postponed

GAME OF THE WEEK!!
(5) Tuskegee Ayrmen (5-0) @ (3) Alabama Blackhawks (3-1)

Irondale, AL
7:00pm
Fan Appreciation weeks game of the week is sure to be a good one. Both teams are playing at a high level thus far this season and it makes this game that much more interesting. The Ayrmen have been a surprise of sorts. They have come out the blocks this season full throttle and have no indication of cooling down. At the same time, the Blackhawks have done much of the same. To be victorious the Ayrmen will need to ensure a close game going into the 4th. The Blackhawks high powered offense, if allowed, will look to get up high and early. The Ayrmen defense will be the key if they are to pull off the victory. Blackhawks playing at home may be just a little too much.
Alabama Blackhawks – 27
Tuskegee Ayrmen – 16

There you have it! Predictions are in and the only thing remaining is to play the games. As I always say, don’t hate the predictions, SIMPLY PROVE THEM WRONG!!
