League Commissioner

Bernard Hunt

Bernard Hunt has a love for the game of football like no other. Having grown up in Tampa, Florida and being a stand out football player at Chamberlain High School, Bernard found himself enlisted in the U.S Armed forces after graduation.

His collegiate careers begin at Troy University where he played Free Safety prior to transferring to the University of Maine in 2000. At the University of Maine Bernard excelled both on the field as well as in the classroom.

Athletically, Bernard excelled on the field and was honored with the opportunity of fighting for a roster spot with the Atlanta Falcons. “Having come out of college as the second oldest player and tearing my pectoral in preseason hindered my chances” said Bernard. In the classroom, Bernard obtained his B.S in Psychology from the University of Maine in 2002 and went on to obtain an M.B.A in Health Administration from Davenport University and an M.D from the International University of Health Sciences.

In conjunction to his medical responsibilities and being Commissioner of the APDFL, Bernard also shares a passion in his clothing line. “I spend most of my days busy but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way as I have a deep love and desire for all that I do.”
