Atlanta, Ga – The Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) prides itself on giving players a second chance at playing the game they have grown to love. They are providing avenues for players to advance to JUCO, NAIA, NCAA, AFL, IFL, CFL, as well as various countries overseas with the ultimate and final goal being that of the NFL.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated (SI), APDFL Commissioner Bernard Hunt expressed the importance of assisting athletes with the necessary requirements to obtain acceptance into a secondary institution. “Member organizations are not allowed to offer compensation to players in the APDFL. To do so would jeopardize the eligibility of all members across the league and therefore we see this as a serious violation” said Hunt. Like the other developmental leagues presently recognized, the APDFL puts a strong interest in advancement for those looking to do such. However, what sets them apart, is the method in which they opt to do so.

You can see the complete SI interview with Bernard Hunt via the SI article titled, “When it comes to football D-leagues, resources are crucial, but locality may be the real key” written by Aaron Earlywine by clicking the following link: http://www.si.com/nfl/2017/02/09/developmental-football-leagues-pacific-pro

The APDFL will kick-off the 2017 season with the Commissioners Cup on February 25th in Pensacola, Florida. We look forward to following their continued success.
