ALABAMA STEEL UP FOR THE CHALLENGE

Atlanta, GA – The Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) has continued to be one of the most competitive developmental football leagues in the country. Season after season players have advanced to both the professional ranks as well as to various levels of college football. In 2017 the competition is set to be even more impressive than it has in previous seasons.

Unlike others, the APDFL, and it’s member teams, thrive off of this dynamic level of competition. “The higher the level of competition, the better film our players can provide to perspective sources.” “Athletes at the developmental level are already at a disadvantage if they are looking to move on and film against mediocre competition can sometimes be a hindrance” stated league commissioner Bernard Hunt.

That may not be easy listening if you are a member of the Alabama Steel, a first year team playing out of Tuscaloosa Alabama. The Steel will take to the field in their inaugural season not only in the nations toughest league, but against the best there is to offer. When asked the present strength of schedule, Steel owner Jeffrey Eiland stated “we are excited! It’s an honor to say the least, but really we are excited to be challenged and look forward to being up against such great opponents.” The Steel will travel to the 2014, ‘15 and ‘16 champions in consecutive weeks (Hiawayi Robinson Falcons and OKC Bounty Hunters) prior to playing host to the 2016 American Conference Champion, Opelika Chiefs, and the powerful Metro Atlanta Horsemen.
