Macon, GA – Georgia Noles will make their way into the Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) as the #15 team coming into the season. They come to the APDFL looking to make their presence felt while taking charge of the American Conference. Team owner Corey Flagg discussed how he sees the 2019 season playing out in their first season as members.
Writer: Tell us a little about the Georgia Noles.
Flagg: The Noles will be a good young team this season. We’ve got several stand-out players that will surely make their presence felt in all three aspects of the game. The team is made up of players from both the Georgia Crush of the GDFL, players from the Georgia Pain and younger players right out of high school.
Writer: Are there any games immediately circled on this year's schedule that you have your eyes set on?
Flagg: March 16th! We’ve heard about the 2-time defending Champions, Mississippi Dynasty, and we play host to them on March 16th, week 2 of the regular season. We believe that’s the game to watch if you’re looking for an upset.
Writer: How do you feel about the team at this point in the preseason?Flagg: I feel that sitting at #15 right now we are right where we need to be, middle of the pack. I can also say that the Noles are truly going to open some eyes.
Writer: Any predictions on how the season will play out for the Noles?Flagg: Our goal for this season is to win the National Presidents Cup Championship and to get these guys a 2nd chance to further their careers. We have seen players advance from other organizations and it’s time we put our talent into motion.
Georgia Noles are primed and ready to make their presence felt in their APDFL debut. With two early home games, both against what is sure to be strong opponents, they will be tested early before hitting the road for a 3 game road trip. How they fair over those first 5 games could dictate exactly how their season plays out.
