Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League

Shalimar, FL - All-Star cornerback and three-time Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) Defensive Player of the Year, Labarron Mallory signed a professional contract with the Sacramento Spartans of the American West Football Conference on Saturday.

Mallory has been one of the leagues top players since 2013 and was a major part of the Gators' success last season. He tallied six interceptions in '18, returning two for scores. Mallory also became the first Gator to score a TD five different ways in a season; (passing, rushing, receiving, interception return, and punt return).

"We're definitely going to miss having him around", said Head Coach Phil Carver. "LB has always been an elite player in the league... we're extremely proud and excited for him" added Carver.
