No. 18 Atlanta Tigers (2-3) at No. 7 NWF Nightmare (4-1): Both teams are coming off contrasting games, with the Tigers losing in a 28-8 home game and the Nightmare shutting out down Tallahassee Wolves 33-0. Nightmare running back Jamarius Green leads the team in rushing with 305 yards on the season and anchors a potent offensive attack, which is averaging 20.4 points per game. The Tigers have struggled in their last couple of games, losing by a combined score of 74-8 to Opelika Chiefs and Georgia Canes, respectively.

PREDICTION: Nightmare 31, Tigers 16

No. 22 Florida Saints (1-3) at No. 27 Alabama Rottweilers (0-4): If there's a game in which both teams are in dire need of a win, look no further than Saturday's matchup between the Saints and RottWeilers. The Saints are in the midst of a 3-game losing streak, which includes an 18-0 loss to the Alabama Spartans last weekend. On the other side of the spectrum, the Rottweilers are coming off a 63-0 shellacking at the hands of the Opelika Chiefs.

PREDICITION: Saints 14, Rottweilers 13

No. 16 Arkansas Wolverines (2-2) at No. 13 Mississippi Sting (3-2): Can the Sting notch their second 2-game winning streak of the season? That's the task at hand Saturday against a feisty Wolverines squad looking to bounce back from a 30-8 loss at the hands of the Mississippi Dynasty. Arkansas also needs the win to avoid making it three losses in a row, after beginning the season 2-0. The Sting will rely upon the arm of quarterback Preston Lockhart to power a solid offense through the air.

PREDICTION: Sting 27, Wolverines 14

No. 15 Emerald Coast Scorpions (3-2) at No. 26 Tallahassee Wolves (0-4): The APDFL season hasn't started off quite the way the Wolves have wanted it to. Three close losses before a 33-0 meltdown last weekend against the NWF Nightmare have Tallahassee searching for answers. Emerald Coast have had no such problems, winning three out of its last four contests. A win for the Wolves here would do wonders, but the Scorpions are coming down Interstate 10 with different intentions.

PREDICTION: Scorpions 25, Wolves 21

No. 14 Prattville Patriots (3-2) at No. 11 West Alabama Warriors (3-1): In one of the better matchups of the weekend, the Patriots visit the Warriors in a game that holds major implications in the American West division. A win for the Warriors would increase their chances down the stretch of winning a division crown and likewise for the Patriots. Prattville quarterback Nick Fletcher has already thrown for 1,032 yards and nine touchdowns through five games.

PREDICTION: Warriors 36, Patriots 28

No. 17 Tri-City Generals (2-2) at No. 1 Metro Atlanta Horsemen (5-0): Standing in the Horsemen's way of a perfect 6-0 record is the Tri-City Generals, who are coming off a solid 22-12 victory over the West Alabama Warriors last weekend. It's a tall task for the Warriors to upend the Horsemen at home. Metro Atlanta is currently 2-0 at home and have outscored opponents by a combined score of 54-6. Is it all but a sure thing that the Horsemen go to 6-0 after Saturday?

PREDICTION: Horsemen 43, Generals 13

No. 6 Georgia Canes (3-1) at No. 21 Georgia Dawgs (1-3): The Canes have rolled through everyone, for the exception of the Metro Atlanta Horsemen, and the Dawgs seem to be another team that could be the next victim. Georgia Canes have been stout defensively on the road, only allowing eight points between two games. The Dawgs picked up their first win last week against the Tampa Bay Sharks, but will face a much stiffer test in the Canes.

PREDICTION: Canes 39, Dawgs 20

No. 29 Panhandle Hurricanes (0-5) at No. 12 Mississippi Dynasty (3-2): All signs in this game are pointing towards one thing and that's an easy victory for the Dynasty. The Hurricanes hope to avoid their sixth straight loss of the season, as they're coming off a 42-14 loss to the Mississippi Sting. Now facing another strong Mississippi-based club, the fellas out of the panhandle of Florida will need to pull it together if they look to halt the Dynasty's 2-game winning streak.

PREDICTION: Dynasty 51, Hurricanes 14

No. 19 North Pinellas Decepticons (1-3) at No. 28 Tampa Bay Sharks (0-4): The two first-year teams in the APDFL are still trying to find themselves and the Decepticons feel like they're not too far off from being a division contender. The Sharks on the other hand are building with young players, under the guidance of owner Armand Akiboh. If the Sharks can gain confidence early on, they can certainly make this contest very interesting. North Pinellas, though, has had a little bit more time to jell on both sides of the ball.

PREDICTION: Decepticons 23, Sharks 12

No. 10 Highlands County Enforcers (4-1) at Florida Stingrays (4-5): The Enforcers take on the United Football Federation of America's Florida Stingrays in a non-league matchup and have a strong chance of knocking off a strong opponent out of Fort Myers. Highlands County lost its first matchup last weekend against the Central Florida Tiger Sharks, but will look to bounce back this week with a victory.

No. 24 Tuscaloosa Panthers (1-4) at No. 25 Alabama Blackhawks (0-4): The Panthers pulled off a surprising victory against Prattville last weekend and are looking to make it two in a row against the winless Blackhawks. It has been a rough 2016 campaign for the Blackhawks so far, as Alabama has been competitive in all of its contest but has yet to pull off a win. An 18-6 loss to the Capital City Cobras last weekend showed signs of promise for the Blackhawks and possible chances for a win this Saturday.

PREDICTION: Panthers 28, Blackhawks 26

No. 20 Plaquemine Parish Broncos (1-3) at No. 23 Greater New Orleans Jaguars (1-4): Greater New Orleans picked up a much needed first win of the season last week against a solid Emerald Coast Scorpions team. Now, they'll look to make it two in a row against the Broncos, who lost in a very competitive contest last weekend versus the Louisiana Lightning. With both teams playing in an extremely tough American South division, which includes Louisiana Lightning and Oklahoma City Bounty Hunters. Each team needs the division win badly.

PREDICTION: Broncos 27, Jaguars 24

No. 8 Alabama Spartans (4-1) at No. 5 Louisiana Lightning (4-0): In what is very likely the second best APDFL matchup on Saturday, the Spartans visit the Lightning, who have opened up the season with four straight victories. The Spartans will need quarterback Laquan Bryant (418 yards, 2 TDs) to step up in this big road game. The Lightning counter with a strong defensive unit, which despite allowing 21 points last week, have played very well through four games this season.

PREDICTION: Lightning 29, Spartans 20

No. 2 Capital City Cobras (5-0) at No. 4 Opelika Chiefs (5-0): A powerhouse matchup between Capital City and Opelika has been hyped up all throughout the past week and the game looks to live up to the billing. Or will it? The Chiefs have steamrolled through opponents and last week's 63-0 thrashing of the Alabama Rottweilers was one example out of five blowout victories on the season. The Cobras haven't been quite too shabby themselves, as quarterback Doin Graham has thrown for over 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. Capital City will need to slow down Opelika's air and ground duo of Kyle Caldwell (747 yards, 13 TDs) and Latrell Jenkins (353 yards, 5 TDs).

PREDICTION: Chiefs 37, Cobras 19
