Jacksonville, FL – It’s Mother’s Day Weekend this weekend and we would like to say a huge thank you and Happy Mother’s Day to all of those special ladies both near and afar. We thank you very much for allowing your sons, husbands, and fathers the ability to join us in this game we all love. We understand that it is you that makes the world go round and by all means, we wish you a great deal of happiness on this special weekend.

Let’s take a look at this special weekend of match ups.

(14) Orlando Phantoms (3-3) @ (10) Gulf Coast Gators (4-2)
Pensacola, FL
7:00PM
The two have been looking forward to this match-up for some time now. In what some thought would have been a game of the week consideration prior to the start of the 2021 season, both find themselves fighting for playoff position. Phantoms will take to the road this weekend and will look to prove that they are a serious contender. Coming off of what could easily go down as their most impressive victory of the season, a win this weekend will put them in prime position as they head into the second half of the season. Gators look to have returned to their style of play in this past weekends game. A dominant victory was exactly what they were looking for as they kicked-off the second half of the season. Playing at home this weekend should prove to be beneficial.
Gulf Coast Gators – 26
Orlando Phantoms – 12

(3) Alabama Blackhawks (5-1) @ (20) Hub City Hellcats (3-4)
Petal, MS
5:00PM
Blackhawks have been impressive this season and are looking to fight their way to the top seed in the East. This weekend they face a Hellcats team looking to fight their way into the playoff picture. If the Hellcats are to pull off the upset this weekend they will need to perform at a high level. They will need to play mistake free football and win the turnover game. Playing at home should give them a sense of pride however, this will be a tough one to pull out.
Alabama Blackhawks – 34
Hub City Hellcats – 18

(26) Selma City Vikings (0-6) @ (25) Crescent City Rampage (0-6)
New Orleans, LA
7:00PM
Both teams come into this contest looking for their first victory of the season. Rampage have been playing tough on a weekly basis but have simply been unable to pull out the victory. Playing on their home turf should give them a slight advantage this weekend. Vikings seem to have all the pieces in place but for one reason or another, simply can’t find a way to put it together. Lack of numbers has led to fatigue and therefore defeats in games that they were otherwise quite competitive. Hitting the road this weekend won’t make it any easier on their numbers. For them to be victorious they will need to put up points early.
Crescent City Rampage – 17
Selma City Vikings – 10

(19) Georgia Noles (3-4) @ (13) Metro Atlanta Horsemen (4-3)
Austell, GA
6:00PM
Noles came out the blocks at full steam however, have simmered down a bit as of late. To be victorious this weekend they will need to ensure that they play smart football for a complete 60 minutes. Horsemen are looking to improve their position on their playoff run. If they come into this contest looking past the Noles they could find themselves letting this one slip away.
Metro Atlanta Horsemen – 24
Georgia Noles – 8

(7) Georgia Thrashers (5-2) @ (1) Unconquered Cobras (7-0)
Thomasville, GA
6:00PM
A top 10 match-up that is sure to have everyone sitting on the edge of their seats. The playoff implications in this contest will add to this highly anticipated match-up. Both teams have been dominant in their victories thus far this season and both come into this match-up with high powered offenses. Thrashers enter the game with the leagues most prolific passing attack however, this weekend they face a Cobra team in which has only given up a total of 48 points over the course of the first 7 games. That’s tallies to just under 7 points per game. The Cobra offense is just as potent as the defense. A passing attack that will match the best of them is complemented by a rushing attack that sits at #4 in the league. To be victorious, the Thrashers will need to prove that their rushing attack has the ability to compliment the pass game.
Unconquered Cobras – 26
Georgia Thrashers – 20

(12) West Mobile 49ers (4-1) @ (2) Bayou Lacombe Cardinals (7-0)
Franklinton, LA
7:00PM
Both teams continue to fight for their playoff position. For starters, 49ers must ensure that they don’t miss anymore games. With only 5 games played at this point in the season, they risk not reaching the minimum of 8 games played. Cardinals have been the leagues most impressive team to date. They have proven that they can win the big games and continue to find a way to win in the close ones. The 49ers have looked good as well thus far this season and will find themselves being tested this weekend. To pull off the upset, the 49ers will need to play mistake free football and will need to create turnovers.
Bayou Lacombe Cardinals – 29
West Mobile 49ers – 12

(15) Louisiana Lightning (3-4) @ (9) Panhandle Crusaders (5-2)
Pensacola, FL
7:00PM
Lightning simply haven’t played up to expectations thus far this season. As they fight for the right to advance to the post-season, a win this weekend would put them back into the drivers seat. Crusaders are just the opposite. Although they are coming off of a disappointing loss a week ago, they have looked impressive thus far this season. This should be a really good match-up. If the Lightning are to play their game and can create turnovers, they should be able to pull off the upset. However, with the Crusaders playing at home in front of their home crowd that won’t be easy to do.
Panhandle Crusaders – 16
Louisiana Lightning – 12

(16) Atlanta Tigers (3-4) @ (17) East Alabama Predators (4-4)
Camp Hill, AL
5:00PM
Playoff positioning is on the line and both teams are looking to fight their way into the playoff picture. Tigers have found themselves coming up short in several close contests. They have the ability to be victorious in each of them but to do so they must play for a complete 60 minutes. The question for the Predators is which team will show up. When playing their game they can be very impressive however, consistency doesn’t seem to be their thing. Playing at home should give them a slight advantage. The issue however is the Tigers are very consistent.
Atlanta Tigers – 12
East Alabama Predators – 8

GAME OF THE WEEK
(4) Mississippi Dynasty (4-2) @ (11) Crescent City Kings (3-2)

New Orleans, LA
7:00PM
This is one of those rivalry games that deserves all the attention that comes it’s way. Over the past several seasons, this contest has consistently proved to be one of the toughest match-ups of the season. Both teams come into this contest with more notches in the loss column than they are use to at this point of the season. Fighting for playoff position, this is expected to be yet another nail biter. Dynasty have yet to reach their high caliber of play that most have come to expect on a weekly basis. A loss this weekend could possibly lead to panic mode. With the exception of one, the Kings have been impressive thus far this season and are primed to put themselves in a good position. They have been successful on both sides of the ball and will be a tough challenge for the Dynasty secondary in the pass game. As always, this one is sure to be a tough all out battle and a toss up in the prediction. With the Kings playing at home, they should have a slight advantage.
Crescent City Kings – 17
Mississippi Dynasty – 14

There you have it! The predictions are in and the only thing left to do is the play the games. Like I always say, don’t hate the predictions SIMPLY PROVE THEM WRONG!
