Hattisburg, MS – Tri-City Savages will enter the Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) 2020 season ranked No. 21 in the preseason rankings and will look to improve on their position in week 1. Coming off of their first Championship win in team history, the Savages will be looking to build on that momentum to carry them deep into the APDFL post season. With the loss of Defensive End, Ladarius Harris (to Bismarck Bucks) and the possible loss of Athlete, D’Nerius Antoine (to Green Bay Blizzard), this will be a bit more challenging.

Much of the Savages success will depend on the decision of APDFL All-Star and National Top 50 Athlete, D’Nerius Antoine. The return of Antoine for the 2020 season should catapult the Savages back into the preseason top 10. Without his presence however, the Savages have built a foundation over the past 5 seasons (previously the Sting) and have continued to grow. “We have signed several new additions to the team this off season whom should all help improve the team with big impacts,” said team owner Ervin Wolfe Jr. Devonte Brown (DB), Jarbari Hendricks (DL), Xavier Jones (DB), and Eddie Graham (OL), should all make an immediate impact for the Savages.

Savages will get the chance to display their improvement right out the gate. In their week 1 match-up they will host a powerful newcomer to the APDFL in Pike County Titans. “We are looking forward to the match ups against both the Pike County Titans and the Mississippi Dynasty because we are all here to repersent the state of Mississippi,” said Wolfe Jr. “Every game counts but our overall season is going to be greatly impacted on the brutal 5 game stretch which I think is the toughest out of any team in the league.” “If we come through that stretch even, we should make a run deep into the playoffs,” he added. During that stretch the Savages will face 3 of the leagues top 4 teams and 4 of the top 10.
