APDFL North Round 2 Predictions

Jacksonville, FL - Round 2 of the APDFL Playoffs is set to take off and there are some amazing games to be played this weekend. Let's take a look at the APDFL North Round 2 match-ups.

No. 4 East Alabama Predators @ No. 1 Georgia Cobras,
Monticello, FL
6:00 PM est.
Predators found a way to defend their home turf in their opening round playoff game. This week their challenge will be a bit tougher. Cobras have yet to taste defeat in the North Conference this season however, they will face an unfamiliar foe as they have yet to face the Predators. This one is sure to be a battle. The offensive powerhouse of the Cobras vs the stingy defense of the Predators. The key however, will rest in the trenches. The Predators will need to ensure that both their offensive and defensive lines are playing at the top of their game if they are to be victorious. If their defensive line can stop the league most prolific offensive attack then they should be able to complete the upset. However, that won’t be easy to do. Cobras QB, Dion Graham, leads the league in passing yardage with 1973 yards passing and 25 TD’s on the season. He also has the ability to extend the play long enough for his receivers to get open. All-Star RB, Jarod Lewis has been an added compliment to the Cobras offensive attack as he led the league in rushing with 573 yards. This prolific attack however will be tested as the star studded defense of the Predators will surely be prepared. With the game on the line, and playing at home, the Cobras have continued to find a way to win.
Georgia Cobras – 22
East Alabama Predators – 12

No. 3 Alabama Blackhawks @ No. 2 P-Town Wreckaz,
Parrish, AL
5:00 PM cst.
If Mother Nature has anything to do with it this one may not get a chance to kickoff. With a 65% chance of thunderstorms projected for the forecast, the rain dances may get more activity. With that said, these two know each other well. In their regular season match-up the Wreckaz came out victorious by a margin of only 6 points. That was the last time the Blackhawks have come up short this season. Since that time they have gone on a tirade in the North scoring at least 20 points in each of their final 6 games and giving up double digits only once over that same time frame. The Wreckaz have been impressive all season long. QB, Boshe Watkins has looked good on film however, failure to maintain stats could hinder a breakout season. With this being a cross town rivalry both teams are sure to get up and get out for this one. Wreckaz playing on their home turf should give them a slight advantage.
P-Town Wreckaz – 17
Alabama Blackhawks – 14

The winners will face-off next week for the APDFL North Conference Championship. With all the marbles on the table, the only question to ask is who wants it the most?
