Khiary Hill goes one-on-one with Terrance Biggs

As the Mobile Generals embark on their 2018 campaign, a renewed sense of purpose envelopes the team. To a man, the Generals believe they can provide the strongest competition to the Mississippi Dynasty. How will Mobile climb the mountain and dethrone the Dynasty?

DB Khiary Hill made a name for himself on the defensive size of the ball. Most notably, Hill snared five interceptions and forced three fumble. However, Hill takes his diverse skill set to the offensive side of the ball.

Q: Entering 2018, the Generals appear to be a favorite to knock off the Dynasty. When Mississippi raised the trophy, how did that sit with you?

KH: Very disappointing, because we had the team to win it all. Wish like hell it were the G-men. Seeing the Dynasty win fuels me to work harder to do improve.

Q: Now that Carl Davis moved on, how will the Generals replace such a dynamic passer?

KH: Matt Rowser played for the Falcons last year. He brings a different dynamic. Under Matt’s steady hand, we believe he can get the job done.

Q: How do they differ?

KH: While Carl is a pocket passer, who is blessed with phenomenal arm talent, Matt extends plays more with his legs.

Q: Where will the Generals improve from the previous year?

KH: Team morale and chemistry. In the offseason, we merged with the Falcons. Now, we have everyone on the same page. Honestly, I do not see us losing.

Q: How did the merger benefit the Generals?

KH: Now, the city of Mobile boasted a united team. The best athletes in the area now play under the same banner. Instead of a fractured city with divided loyalties, everyone is a General.

Q: Other than the Dynasty, what team stands in the Generals’ way?

KH: The Prattville Patriots sport a serious pass rush and talent on both sides of the ball.

Q: Why do you play for the Generals?

KH: There is nothing better than playing in front of friends and family. In addition, elite players lace up around me. In Mobile, a standard of excellence exist that needs honoring.

Questions to Ponder

Can Matt Rowser step in for Carl Davis successfully? Losing a signal-caller with a 61 percent completion percentage and 21 touchdowns is a tall order. If Rowser can replicate the results, the Generals will challenge for the trophy.

How does a team with 72 sacks and 26 forced fumbles improve? The kicking game needs works. Although Mobile scores in bunches, attention to fine details could mean the difference between a championship and going home early.
