2018 Strength of Schedule

Atlanta, GA – With the release of the Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League (APDFL) 2018 season schedule, the season has officially kicked off. As teams thumb through their schedule and look to determine what games stand out, it is noteworthy that some games are expected to carry more weight than others. With 12 different teams bringing championship experience into the 2018 season, the strength of schedule and level of competition is sure to be unlike anything seen in previous seasons.

The Alabama Tigers (38) and Prattville Patriots (38) lead the way with this seasons toughest schedules. Prattville found themselves one game removed from the Presidents Cup a season ago and will look to cross that barrier in 2018. To do so, however, they will have to overcome some of the nations top tier teams. The first half of the schedule will arguably be the toughest in the country. With an opening game on the road at the 3-time champion and National Champion, Augusta Ducks, they will have the opportunity to set the tone early. The Tigers will get to prove that they are capable of competing among the best right out of the gate. They open up the 2018 season at home against a much improved Cobras team who have relocated their organization to the state of Georgia.

The American Conference comes into 2018 having yet to reign victorious in the National Presidents Cup. With several dominant teams competing this season this could be their chance to turn the tide.
